1,1,1 Trichloroethane (TCA) Replacement

EnTron™ Non-Flammable Critical Cleaning Solvent has almost exactly the same favorable physical characteristics, cleaning performance, and compatibility with metals, plastics and elastomers as 1,1,1 trichloroethane, without any of the negative effects on the environment associated 1,1,1 trichloroethane.

EnTron™ is United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program approved for solvent cleaning applications. Unlike 1,1,1 trichloroethane, EnTron™ has been reviewed by the USEPA SNAP program and EnTron™ has been determined to be acceptable to the environment for ozone depletion and global warming.

Seamless Change Over

Switching to EnTron™ from 1,1,1 trichloroethane in your vapor degreasing system is easy and seamless. The conversion to EnTron™ requires no equipment modifications, except minor adjustments to the temperature settings. EnTron™ and 1,1,1 trichloroethane boil at 160°F; therefore, all of the standard control settings will match.

EnTron™'s Additional Benefits Include:

  • Not subject to NESHAP regulation

  • Does not generate hazardous waste

  • Has no flash point

  • Can be used as a cold wipe solvent
