Asphalt Extraction Solvent:
AeroTron-AE

AeroTron™-AE is a modernized asphalt extraction chemistry for extractions that easily replaces Trichloroethylene (TCE) and n-Propyl Bromide (nPB) in centrifuge extraction, shingle applications, or asphalt analyzers. AeroTron-AE is more environmentally friendly than TCE and nPB solvents typically used in asphalt extraction applications.

Use of AeroTron-AE will have shorter drying times while decreasing hazardous waste, eliminating time-consuming reporting requirements.

And it is always in stock.

Advantages of AeroTron-AE (Asphalt Extraction) Solvent

  • Has no flash point

  • Fast evaporating

  • Aerotropic composition

  • Easily distilled

  • Ships common carrier

  • Has a low ozone depleting and global warming potential (effectively zero)

  • Not a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP)

  • Not regulated as a hazardous waste

  • Direct replacement for nPB and TCE. Use it the same way you have been using nPB and TCE.

AeroTron™-AE is becoming the preferred solvent of many paving, construction and asphalt/shingle testing companies across the country.

  • Can be substituted for nPB and TCE extraction solvents;

  • Uses less solvent per extraction;

  • Extractions have shorter drying times;

  • Decreases hazardous waste;

  • Eliminates time-consuming regulatory solvent reporting requirements;

  • Is compatible with Rotovap distillation systems;

  • Reduces annual solvent costs.

  • Use for AASHTO T164 and AASHTO TP2 extractions

  • Use per ASTM D2172 and ASTM D5404

Use AeroTron™-AE in your current Asphalt Analyzer

AeroTron™-AE can be used in your current asphalt analyzer to replace TCE (trichloroethylene) which is getting harder to find and more expensive, and to replace nPB which is now considered a HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant). AeroTron™-AE is a direct replacement for both these solvents.
